Queen Camilla Parker attended the second annual Queen’s Reading Room Festival at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey. the monarch looked in great spirits and greeted all of the attendees, she even gave a great update on King Charles III’s current daily basis.
The Queen had a short conversation with the novelist, Lee Child, during the event where he asked about the King. She answered that he was doing fine but he wouldn’t slow down and wouldn’t do what he’s told. After this interaction, the author of Jack Reacher’s crime thriller series said that he sounds to him like a typical husband.
The Queen’s comment relies on the King resuming his royal duties in public despite undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer. Despite the mishaps along the way, the King was also able to attend the D-Day event in Portsmouth and give an emotional speech for the veterans.
