Kate Middleton’s absence from the Royal Family has left an unfillable void for all those who support the Princess. Her cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment have forced her to step away from her royal duties, however, she feels extremely sorry for not attending important events.
June has come and one of the most important royal events for the Royal Family has arrived. Trooping the Colour, the official celebration of the current monarch’s birthday is celebrated across the United Kingdom. This time, as the Princess of Wales is the Colonel of the Irish Guard it was expected she would be there.
However, Kate Middleton couldn’t even attend the rehearsals for the important event. The Irish Guard shared a letter sent by the Princess of “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) to express her feelings about her absence.
“I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months, and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drill are immaculate. Being your colonel remains a great honor and I am very sorry that I’m unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, however, I do hope that I can represent you all once again very soon.”
Kate Middleton’s message also becomes a beacon of hope because she expects to come back soon to her royal duties and take charge of important duties just like the Trooping the Colour event. Meanwhile, the British people might get used to not seeing the Princess in public events.
