This week’s big screen buzz is all about “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” the action-packed saga starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. While the movie is expected to smash at the box office, we’ve got to spill the real tea— it’s actually snagged a lower rating on Rotten Tomatoes compared to its predecessors.
On its opening day, ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ scored a pretty stellar A- from American audiences on Cinema Score, proving most viewers were here for the film. But if we’re honest, the previous three movies did even better, each bagging an A. Talk about setting the bar high!
When it comes to critics, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is riding high with a 64% score on Rotten Tomatoes, surpassed by “Bad Boys For Life,” which boasts an impressive 76% score on the website. Outdoing the 2020 installment seems to be a hard thing to do! But, wait, here’s the most impressive: the OG “Bad Boys” and “Bad Boys 2” only managed to scrape together 44% and a mere 24%, respectively.
It looks like “Ride or Die” might be a slight step back from its predecessor, but it’s still making huge waves!
