NewJeans and aespa team up for the “How Sweet” and “Armaggedon” TikTok dance challenges

Okay, NewJeans and aespa stans, time to wave your lightsticks! That’s because these fab K-pop groups have recently teamed up for the “How Sweet” and “Armaggedon” TiKTok challenges, shutting down rivalry rumors and looking gorgeous— all at the same time. To record these dance clips, the groups visited each other’s agencies, SM Entertainment (for aespa) and HYBE (for NewJeans).

The TikToks in question feature almost of members of both groups, except for Hyein, who’s currently recovering from an injury. In the first clip, we can see NewJeans’ Danielle and Hanni with aespa’s NingNing and Winter, dancing to “How Sweet.” Then, Minji and Haerin got together with Giselle and Karina to record “Armaggedon.”

This dance clips come after whispers that aespa and NewJeans might have a feud after HYBE’s chairman, Bang Si Hyuk, asked the NewJeans’ creator, Min Hee-jin to make a girl group that could “crush” aespa. But just like that, both the quartet and the quintet have put all these claims to rest, dancing to each other’s bops.
