Princess Lilibet recently turned three years old and her grandfather, King Charles lll, was all about acknowledging the occasion despite the ongoing family discord with his son Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle. According to royal expert, Tom Quinn, while the British monarchy doesn’t celebrate non-working members, the King still sent a birthday gift and a message to Lilibet.

Adding a heartfelt layer to this gesture, the royal expert said that King Charles has a special present in reserve, awaiting a potential reconciliation with Lilibet’s father. This present apparently mirrors a gift once given to Prince George, and it’s reserved as a symbol to mend the royal rift. Currently, the relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles lll remains distant.
“[Charles] gave Prince George a beautiful handmade wooden swing with George’s name carved on it, and he has plans to give something similar to Lilibet, but not this year,” Quinn also said. “And not unless and until the family feud dies down.”
Meanwhile, Princess Lilibet’s birthday was a star-studded event with high-profile neighbors like Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, and Daisy Dove (Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s daughter), underscoring Harry and Meghan’s dazzling life in Montecito, California. However, the guest list notably had absences from royal family members, proving the strained relations between Prince Harry and the monarchy.
