After a long absence, this Saturday Princess Kate Middleton finally shared an emotional video and statement in the midst of her cancer treatment, the same one that prevented her from attending the official Colonel’s Review rehearsal for Trooping the Colour, which undoubtedly makes her very sad.
Kate made sure to explain how she feels about not attending this Saturday’s rehearsal: “Being your Colonel remains a great honor, and I am very sorry that I am unable to take the salute at this year’s Colonel’s Review. Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment“, the Irish Guards shared via Instagram of Middleton’s words.
Weeks of preparation, leading up to one final rehearsal.

“The Irish Guards were deeply touched to receive a letter from our Colonel, Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales this morning. We continue to wish Her Royal Highness well in her recovery and send Her our very best wishes“, the guards wrote in reply to Kate.
The response from the Irish Guards was intended to honor Kate Middleton for her hard work and commitment to them, but it also demonstrates the pride they feel in knowing that the Princess of Wales is their colonel, even though she will not be present on June 15 to receive the salute due to her cancer treatment.
