Prince William revealed some relatable family stuff during the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Portsmouth, England! The event, which took place on June 5, saw the Prince of Wales having a sweet exchange with the great-granddaughter of Captain Alastair Bannerman, an important figure from D-Day.
As the patriotic Red Arrows and their aerial display soared, Prince William started talking to this little girl, who seemed to be a young royal follower. “Did you like the Red Arrows?” He asked. But this girl had other questions in mind:
“I think she was going to ask you where Charlotte was,” said the woman with the girl.
“Charlotte’s at school!” the Prince responded, bending down to add, “Charlotte’s got exams.”
“Yes, she had tests. She wasn’t looking forward to the school day,” he continued, crossing his fingers for good luck, “Hopefully it’s all gone well.”
This affectionate update is all the proof we need to confirm Prince William and Princess Charlotte‘s bond is as close as ever. Evidenced by their heartwarming interactions, from balcony hugs at Buckingham Palace to joint video messages, this is a father-daughter relationship the royal family can be more than proud of.
Wishing a very happy birthday to Princess Charlotte! 🎂
When asked about Princess Charlotte during an interview in 2015, Prince William called her “a little joy of heaven” 🩷https://t.co/XEGvkCg8RS

But make no mistake, the royal family often shares the pressures of academic responsibilities, just like all people with children. This time, Prince William confessed his daughter was giving her all to exams, just like Kate Middleton has also discussed Prince George’s views on school tests last October, highlighting the universal challenges of education.
