Princess Lilibet of Sussex, the granddaughter to King Charles lll, celebrated her third birthday with a bit of royal flair. Despite the miles and differences between Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family, the tiny princess still received a heartfelt surprise from her grandpa this June 4. Royal author Tom Quinn made it clear that the King wouldn’t let the day pass unnoticed:
“King Charles had no intention of completely ignoring Lilibet’s birthday, so he has sent a gift along with a message.”
Although details of the royal present are still under wraps, this gesture proves the royal family is all about loving the kids in spite of their tensions and conflicts. Previously, King Charles had gifted Prince George, Lilibet’s cousin, a stunning hand-made wooden swing, personalized with George’s name. The royal author hinted at a similar plan for Lilibet:
“He gave Prince George a beautiful hand-made wooden swing with George’s name carved on it, and he has plans to give something similar to Lilibet but not this year.”
Living in her California, Montecito home with her older brother Prince Archie, and parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Lilibet’s life is carefully protected from the public eye. Glimpses into her childhood are rare, with only a few public photos of her. This contrasts with her brother’s early days in the royal family, as before the former royal couple moved to the United States, Prince Archie’s life was pretty much public.
"It is amazing that she's already three but there is this…..sadness…that the King is not seeing his grandchildren." – Phil Dampier.
Lest we forget, KCIll evicted his grandchildren from the home that the late QEll gifted their parents.
