Halsey shares her unknown health battle and announces a new song, ‘The End’

This Tuesday, July 4th, through a social media post, Halsey shared her unknown health battle and announced a new song, ‘The End‘. Although it is a new studio album, she said that her first single will be available soon.

In the post, she wrote, “Long story short, i’m Lucky to be alive. short story long, i wrote an album. it begins with The End. out now. @lupusresearchalliance @llsusa“, she also shared videos and pictures while receiving a leg massage, being on her first day of treatment, and even playing in a dark room the new song ‘The End’.

The lyrics of this single are quite strong as she narrates her relationship with the disease: “When I met you, I said I would never die / But the joke was always mine ’cause I’m racing against time / And I know it’s not the end of the world, but could you pick me up at 8? / Cause my treatment starts today“.

Halsey revealed that she “was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then with a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder“, then added that she is “currently controlled or in remission“. She also confirmed that all proceeds from the track ‘The End’ will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as well as the Lupus Research Alliance.
