Finally, the long-awaited trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance‘ has been revealed on YouTube, which completely confused Marvel fans, who, as soon as they saw it, took to social networks to ask for some kind of guidance as they did not understand in which universe this latest installment is based.

In the last movie, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, there was a post-credits scene where Eddie Brock appeared in a bar where he was apparently in the Marvel universe, and when he disappeared, he left a bit of Venom in that universe. Now, with this new teaser for the next installment of ‘Venom’, it seems that Eddie was never really in the MCU.

The trailer appears to continue the bar scene, but in Sony’s Venom universe, the same bartender who spoke to Eddie in the post-credits scene can be seen in it, but also a soldier (by the actor Chiwetel Ejiofor from the Sony universe) arrives at the establishment and captures the piece of Venom in a jar and takes it away, causing great confusion.

Although many expected Venom to meet Spider-Man in the Marvel universe, this does not seem to be happening, generating doubts about the new installment. Among these, the author of the Garbage Day newsletter, Ryan Broderick, said, “Either Sony spoiled the ending of ‘Venom 3’ and Chiwetel Ejiofor ends up in the MCU or they just completely forgot about the ‘No Way Home’ credits scene“.
