In recent days, the series title ‘The 8 Show‘ was released, and its good reception generated many doubts. Here are the reasons why Netflix users prefer this new Korean series over the successful ‘Squid Game‘ despite all their similarities.
Despite the common points of these productions, the new series stands out on the streaming service with its quite substantial differences from the one released in 2021, such as its premise, which has a totally different and interesting approach.
According to the Netflix description, it follows “eight individuals trapped in a mysterious 8-story building participate in a tempting but dangerous show where they earn money as time passes“, which will lead the viewer to consider several quite interesting ethical dilemmas.
‘The 8 Show’ is also a short series of 8 chapters of 50 minutes each, besides having a smaller number of characters, which also makes it an easy-to-watch production and to achieve success, even with its evident similarities with ‘Squid Game’.
