The British royalty is changing thanks to the future monarch and his wife Kate Middleton, who made a nod to the LGBTQ+ community during pride month in June 2021 by wearing this item with the rainbow flag representative of the collective, showing her support.
For the LGBTQ+ community, it was a clear message when Kate Middleton appeared wearing an umbrella with the colors of their flag during the month of June, as this would mean that the future queen consort fully supports them and opposes the discrimination that members of the community often suffer.
The dress worn by the Princess of Wales at the time was lavender, another nod to the LGBTQ+ collective, since before having the rainbow flag as a general symbol of the community, lavender was used as a representative color of the homosexual community.
In addition to the grand public gesture of the beloved princess, her husband, Prince William of Wales, has also expressed his support for the LGBTQ+ community in the past, stating that he would have no problem with any of his children ever coming out as part of it.
