King Charles III’s cancer battle is constantly in the headlines of the United Kingdom over the concern the monarch might abdicate from the throne sooner than everyone could expect. However, the King’s resilience is at its finest and he’s even fulfilling some of his royal duties, including heartwarming gestures with the D-Day veterans.

Jin Miller, who landed on Juno Beach when he was just 20 years old shared his experience with the King highlighting that was “such a momentous and harrowing time.” Miller also expressed his gratitude towards the King and said he is completely proud of sharing his memories with the next generations that come after him.

King Charles III surprised Jin Miller by celebrating his 100th birthday with a heartwarming birthday card and an invitation to Buckingham Palace. Miller considered this gesture a “surprise and delight.”

“I was totally surprised and delighted to be invited to Buckingham Palace. It was a special day and a real honor for me to meet the King and be presented with my 100th birthday card.”
