Dua Lipa speaks out on Gaza in a now viral Instagram post

Dua Lipa has taken yet again a bold stand on the Gaza conflict, using her social media reach to express her disagreement with the “Israeli genocide” against Palestinian people. In a striking Instagram post, the singer shared a photo from Artists4Ceasefire, urging for awareness with the hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah.

She also commented on the current state of Palestine, condemning the recent Israeli attack on Rafah:  “Burning children alive can never be justified. The whole world is mobilizing to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza.”

The singer is not new when it comes to advocating for Palestinian rights, yet these are her most powerful remarks against Israel’s actions. While celebrities, and most importantly world leaders, have chosen to stay silent on the issue, ever since the Raffah attacks, different public figures have expressed their sorrow and concern for the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. This includes names like Dua Lipa herself, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry.

The Israeli attack in Raffah took place on May 26 at night, with munitions from Israel bombing a camp with tents sheltering families and children. As a result, 35-45 people were killed and another 60 civilians were injured. The attack has provoked a notable reaction on social media, with a growing number of famous people speaking out about it.
