During his appearance on the Apple podcast ‘Time to Walk’, Prince William recalled the iconic moment of the duet he formed with pop star Taylor Swift at a charity event to raise funds for the NGO Centrepoint in 2013. It took place at Kensington Palace and was an unforgettable day for the future heir.
The Prince of Wales remembered and recounted every detail of his iconic moment, confessing that “when I saw that Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift were also there, I almost lost my breath“, he added, laughing, “and I never thought what happened next would happen“, giving a preview that the story would get better.
The prince confessed that he remembers exactly how it happened and said, “She (Taylor Swift) puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye, and says, ‘Come on, William. Let’s go and sing’“. He then confessed, “To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I’m crying at what happened next, and I don’t understand why I gave in“.
It was Taylor who was responsible for the future heir showing the funniest side of him, since he himself assured that she convinced him and said, “But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks at you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, ‘Come with me…’ I got up like a puppy and went, ‘Yeah, okay, that seems like a great idea. I’ll follow you“, ending with a great performance of the three personalities.
