Queen Camilla Parker recently revealed an interesting tidbit—she’s all about watching Netflix’s “Bridgerton.“ The Regency-era series has captivated the hearts of many, breaking viewership records left and right. But who would’ve thought it also had actual royal watchers too?
An honour for the Newt teams to meet TM King Charles and Queen Camilla yesterday afternoon at @The_RHS Chelsea Flower Show; what a highlight and it’s only day two! 🐝 #thenewtinsomerset #rhschelseaflowershow #growslowly #beezantium pic.twitter.com/GTWUQxkd5B

Yes, you read that right! On May 20, Queen Camilla and King Charles graced the floral event, exploring the gardens, including one that was Bridgerton-inspired. It was here that the Queen expressed her interest in the show. While her confirmation was simple and plain, this admission is quite the royal endorsement!
“I watched the first lot, she said.”
The Bridgerton-themed garden in question was designed by Holly Johnston, who got inspiration from Penelope Featherington, a character known for her quiet presence which blossoms this season. The designer described her work as the chances of a flower blooming when it was first overlooked. Catch what she said:
“She’s somewhat overlooked in society, but this season we get to see her step into the light. The whole context and theme [of the garden] is that even a wallflower can bloom.”
Now, if you thought Queen Camilla was the only royal giving a thumbs-up to Bridgerton, you’re totally wrong! the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, previously declared her obsession with the show, saying she has watched it twice. Moreover, the Regency-era series includes the character Queen Charlotte, inspired by King George lll’s real wife.
