Prince Harry has had several confrontations with King Charles III and Prince William documented in his bombshell memoir, “Spare.” One of these excerpts taken from the memoir recalled the time the Prince tried to arrange a “secret meeting” to discuss the current state of their broken relationship.
Prince Harry shared with his royal followers he flew to attend the funeral of Prince Philip, who passed away in 2021. This was one of the Prince’s first trips since he relinquished his royal duties in 2020, during the excerpt he expressed he wanted to talk with his brother and father about the delicate state of their relationship.
“So, though I’d flown home specifically and solely for Grandpa’s funeral, while there I’d asked for this secret meeting with my older brother, Willy and my father [to] talk about the state of things. To find a way out. I tried to explain my side of things. I wasn’t at my best. For starters, I was still nervous, fighting to keep my emotions in check, while also striving to be succinct and precise.”
Prince Harry also highlighted that King Charles III and Prince William were ready to fight during the arranged meeting. The Duke of Sussex even shared that the now-king of the United Kingdom pleaded to not make his final years a misery.
