Among the few allies that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have, Misan Harriman, a friend and a frequent photographer gave great news to the couple. Harriman took to Instagram to share one of the images by the former royal couple to announce now belongs to the National Portrait Gallery.
The black and white picture showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the side, holding hands before they took the stage at the “One Young World” summit in Manchester, England on September 5, 2022. The photo was taken just three days before Queen Elizabeth II’s death, which caused mixed feelings among the royal followers.
A spokesperson from the National Portrait Gallery tells PEOPLE that there are currently no immediate plans to display the image of the couple. Still, it is going to be available on their website soon. On the other hand, Misan Harriman shared a sweet message towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for this honor.
“I am humbled and proud to announce that my portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is now part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery. Dare to dream folks!”
