The most famous musician of this decade, and surely the most successful one, Taylor Swift, is receiving major backlash from the followers of other artists due to her apparently trying to take the spotlight away from other artists in a deliberate way. Internet users have brought up a few occasions when her decision making seemed to be motivated by trying to outshine other artists on their album release dates, and it seems that is has happened again with Billie Eilish’s new album release.
On her part, Billie Eilish has just released her third studio album, titled “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT”, on the night of the 17th of May, interestingly enough, the morning of that same day, Taylor Swift decided to announce to the public three new versions of her massively successful album “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT”, and they would be available online at the same time as Billie’s album. Is that a mere coincidence or is this situation concealing something meaner?

Fans of Billie Eilish have pointed out that it seems to be like Taylor is deliberately trying to keep her album on the #1 spot in the charts despite the new releases, and Billie’s album is a strong contender for the #1 spot in the album sales chart. Their theory is not totally nuts, and they have brought up some other occasions when miss Swift decided that it was a good idea to make releases at the same time as her female peers, which, knowing her relevance and success, could mean that potentially the other artists don’t get any time in the spotlight because Taylor’s release is occupying the top of the ranks.
she's a girl's girl as long as ~the girls~ always takes one step back to let her shine, this is such an odd high school mean girl behavior from a 30yo it's actually quite funny to grasp https://t.co/nTPwwR9e4e

just last year taylor swift dropped new digital versions of her then 3 month old album to block sza from the #1 spot on the albums chart, and here she is doing the exact same thing except that billie eilish hasn't even dropped her new album. pic.twitter.com/Re6C0qCsdT

There is no confirmation whether or not Taylor is actually trying to block other female artists from the #1 spot, but fans are getting concerned at the amount of times it has happened, and the fact that Billie Eilish mocked artists who release a lot of variants of their albums a few weeks ago doesn’t help the allegations.
What do you think? Is Taylor Swift seriously trying to overshadow other female artists even when she’s got all the recognition in the world, or is it just a sad coincidence?
