NewJeans are the talk of the town—and not for a catchy new track! Recently, HYBE’S CEO, Bang Si-hyuk, and executive, Park Ji-won, stirred the pot by suggesting they might send the girl group on a lengthy vacay, right after concluding their Tokyo Dome fan event in Japan.
According to Daily Sports, HYBE allegedly planned to give NewJeans a "long vacation" after their concerts in June. pic.twitter.com/TcoW0zfx0x

Amid this unresolved conflict between HYBE and ADOR (HYBE’s affiliate and NewJeans’ label) one of NewJeans’ mothers spilled the tea to the media. The woman, identified as Ms.A, revealed that HYBE’s big names, Park Ji-won and Bang Si-hyuk had planned to give the girls a year off, reflecting a potential neglect of the idols who were supposed to go on a world tour.
“Before this issue arose, we heard from CEO Min about plans for a NewJeans world tour next year. Now, they are talking about a long vacation.“
The reason? They might be scouting a Grammy-winning music producer due to NewJeans and ADOR’s CEO, Min Hee Jin, feud with HYBE. With Min potentially stepping down amid this clash between labels, the hiatus could be a reality, and the possibility of another producer taking the spotlight as NewJeans’ musical creative head could be a potential solution.
Reacting to the buzz, family members and fans quickly echoed that this extended break was unfair to the group. However, a HYBE official reacted to these claims and said Min Hee Jin’s idea was to raise fans and parents’ concerns.:
“Why would we discuss producers and creators if we were planning a hiatus? This is just a malicious play by CEO Min to incite fan anger for her personal independence.”
The HYBE vs Min Hee Jin situation takes a new turn every day! Let’s hope for the best so that NewJeans’ light continues to shine bright on the K-pop stage.
