Here’s what happened: the Daily Mail reported that on May 11, Tom Holland and Zendaya’s date night at London’s West End took an unexpected turn. The iconic pair was all set for a romantic evening at the Duke Of York Theatre, watching Tom lead in “Romeo and Juliet.” Sadly, technical issues nixed the show and the play’s first preview was canceled that day.
Post-cancellation, our Spider-Man star was captured looking not-so-thrilled. Despite holding hands with the “Challengers” protagonist as they exited the theater to lunch at May Sunshine, something seemed a little odd! Tom’s stony face seemingly reflected his disappointment. Fortunately, that’s now a thing of the past, and “Romeo and Juliet” has already had two stellar shows since its sudden cancellation for the first preview.
