Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s foundation, “Archewell” was declared delinquent in the State of California in the United States. the royal couple failed to submit the foundation’s annual report and its registration fees. Now, they cannot raise money for the charity.
California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta, listed the “Archewell” foundation as delinquent because it is not in good standing, and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds. This might cause a major issue for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the United States.
On May 3, Bonta issued a note from the Department of Justice of California for the foundation. The document was first released by Page Six, stating the former royal couple didn’t submit the annual report and registration fees.
On top of that, Page Six also reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s foundation requested filed for an extension, a check was sent with the filing to the AG’s office, which means the foundation should be back on track when the check is processed.
