Prince Edward and Sophie of Edinburgh shared a special moment becoming the first royals to see the late Queen Elizabeth II’s memorial statue. This sculpture pays homage to the long legacy of the former Queen of the United Kingdom.
On May 14, the members of the Royal Family visited Oakham to see the beautiful homage to Queen Elizabeth II who died in September 2022. The GHD Peterborough Stamford and Rutland News shared on “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) a short video of Sophie and Edward watching the seven-foot bronze statue, sitting in the Oakham Library Gardens was posted.
Although Prince Edward and Sophie of Edinburgh’s reactions weren’t recorded, the attendees stated they were having a great time admiring the sculpture. It is expected that King Charles III, Queen Camilla Parker, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and the rest of the working royal members travel to see Queen Elizabeth II’s statue soon.
