On the second day of Meghan Markle‘s trip to Nigeria, the Duchess of Sussex talked with Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala about the importance of women today in all areas, whether they are mothers or professionals, and made reference to how proud Nigerian women must be to be where they are from.
On that opportunity, the Duchess started saying she felt lucky for the reception they gave to her and her husband Prince Harry in what she called “her country“, as she remembers having discovered that she had Nigerian roots after undergoing a genealogical test that showed that she was 43% from that country, which makes her feel happy to have that offspring.
