King Charles lll‘s grand coronation on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey had its doze of royal drama! That’s according to tea spilled by royal author, Robert Hardman on his latest book, “The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy.” In this page-turner, the writer revealed that the newly-minted King was none too pleased with his son and granddaughter…

The reason? This iconic pair showed up fashionably late! The plan was for the Prince and Princess of Wales to arrive a solid eight minutes before the King and Queen consort. But, boom plot twist! They came in “a mine and a half” late with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Hardman described this moment as “an awkward scene” that seemingly added an extra layer of tension for Charles and Camila. Apparently, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s late arrival was due to a last-minute coronation video shoot that morning. Additionally, their staff hinted that their car was delayed by getting stuck behind King Charles and Camila’s earlier-than-scheduled cavalcade.

Fast forward to now: King Charles can say the coronation proceeded with no problems and he was totally dressed to slay!
