The hitmaker has attended the ceremony four times (2008, 2010, 2011, and 2016) with rumors saying that she could’ve made a stellar return to the event yesterday. Taylor Swift opted for understated elegance in her second MET outing. Themed “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity,” she chose a shoulder-baring Ralph Lauren gown in white. The result? Discrete sophistication.

The songwriter stunned in a British gown by designer J. Mendel, with an asymmetrical neckline. Back then the theme was “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” which the singer subtly incorporated with an elegant dress.
Met Gala 2016:
Taylor owned the night with her fierce, futuristic vibes, rocking a metallic dress and platinum hair. The theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” and her ensemble certainly gave off techie glam.
