Buckingham Palace released on April 26th a new photo of King Charles with Queen Camilla to commemorate one year since his coronation on May 6th, which has a touching connection with his grandchildren, the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Apparently the photo of the monarchs was taken by portrait photographer Millie Pilkington, who said on Instagram, “Feeling truly honored to have been asked to take this portrait of Their Majesties the King and Queen earlier this month in Buckingham Palace Gardens. And delighted that His Majesty the King is recovering so well“.
Although this is the first time Pilkington has photographed the sovereigns, it is not her first time photographing moments of the royal family, as she has previously been chosen as the official photographer for the birthday images of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Her excellent work seems to have caught the attention of King Charles and Queen Camilla, to the point of thinking of hiring Pilkington to take a beautiful portrait of them together in the garden of Buckingham Palace on April 10th.
