Six months ago, in October, a 12-year-old student named Freddie extended an invitation to Prince William through the social network X for him to visit his secondary school, St. Michael’s Church of England, and see their mental health project, which would bring great happiness to all the students soon.
Although the Prince of Wales had previously apologized for not being able to attend but also praised the work of the young people, he recently managed to visit the school after being invited by the young student, giving all children a good experience.
On April 25th, the prince had the opportunity to share with the young people and participate in the mental health podcast they are doing. He even revealed, “I’ve been asked to produce a dad joke, so I’m kind of trying to channel Jack Whitehall, most of his jokes are pretty dad-like“.
The work involves a group of more than 100 students from the school who meet after school to do community outreach, ranging from fundraising to working with older members of the community and providing mental health counseling.
