Min Heejin and Bang Hyusik have brought the drama again (and this time, we mean aespa style!). That’s because Min Heejin, known for being NewJeans’ creative director, spilled that Bang Hyusik asked her to beat aespa after her record label, ADOR, was founded. With this, the controversy takes a new turn, involving another group in this accusations whirlwind.
The questionable request was revealed recently at Min Heejin’s press conference, where she addressed her current feud with HYBE and Bang Hyusik. In the conference, she revealed a conversation with the HYBE chairman from December 2021. During their chat, Bang Hyusik asks her if she “can beat aespa,” revealing his true intentions.
This accusation made NewJeans fans speculate that the “Super Shy” idols were first put together to steal the spotlight from aespa, but this claim was denied by Min Heejin. Allegedly, she first thought the HYBE founder was a generous person on the inside, but realized this was an apparent facade.
With this reveal, Min Heejin takes her conflict with HYBE to the next level and involves another group in the mix. ILLIT, RIIZE, NewJeans and now aespa are falling into the controversy between these two heads of record labels.
Min Heejin reveals text messages with Bang Hyusik, where he asked her if she could “beat” aespa:
“Bang Si-hyuk asked me, 'You can beat aespa in December, right?' But that was never my goal. (…) I thought that he was a really generous person, but I found that he was different… pic.twitter.com/tb3fqAsuPq
