Since the start of serious conflicts around the world, several brands have been under fire because they supported some unrighteous actions. Starbucks and McDonald’s just were one of those brands that were completely boycotted by the general public. The idols even avoided buying some of their products to avoid backlash.
However, sometimes people wrongfully accuse idols of promoting boycotted brands. ENHYPEN’s Sunoo was the living proof of his statement. He instantly became a victim of the internet’s hasty assumptions because of his Weverse post about his breakfast choice of the day.
Sunoo posted he ate something like a “McMorning,” which was completely misunderstood and given the meaning of a McDonald’s meal in the United States. However, the term has a completely different meaning in South Korea.
The “McMorning” word is a Konglish term, it is used similarly to “brunch,” and it is nothing related to McDonald’s products. It is a highlight used to refer to a brunch-like platter or set. After the controversy, the Netizens learned the true meaning of the world and asked for forgiveness for their hate trains because of their ignorance.
