The renowned Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway shared for ‘V Magazine‘ a ‘gross’ audition experience in which she had to kiss 10 men to find out which of them she had the most chemistry with to get a more genuine shot so that the final result of the film would be perfect.
Hathaway revealed, “it was considered normal to ask an actor to make out with other actors to test for chemistry“, and then assured, “Which is actually the worst way to do it” since nowadays such practices are not performed and could even be considered ‘abusive’.

However, Anne Hathaway explained that they did not take advantage of her.f: “It wasn’t a power play, no one was trying to be horrible or hurt me. It was just a very different time and now we know better“, and she added, “I was told, ‘We have 10 guys coming today and you’re cast. Aren’t you excited to make out with all of them?“.
She continued, “ I was so young and terribly aware how easy it was to lose everything by being labeled ‘difficult’, so I just pretended I was excited“, the actress said before revealing that despite agreeing it wasn’t pleasant and even questioned herself, “‘Is there something wrong with me?’ Because I wasn’t excited. I thought it sounded gross“.
