Our pop queen, Taylor Swift, has recently broken her own Spotify record after dropping her highly anticipated album “The Tortured Poets Department.“ This collection of bops amassed a whopping 313.7 million streams on Spotify on its first day, becoming the first album to do so.

With this streaming record, Tay-Tay now has the top three most streamed albums in a single day, with “Midnights” (which previously held the record) at number two with 184.9 million streams and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” with 176 million streams at the third spot. Talk about outperforming yourself!

But, wait the records don’t stop here, oh no! With “The Tortured Poets Department” T-Swift has broken her own record as the most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify, which she previously had when she released “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” In addition, all songs on the album now average 10 million streams on the platform, becoming the first project to do so.

Taylor Swift, being the queen of surprises, dropped her most recent album yesterday, April 19. It came with no singles before the release, but she pleased her Swifties with a trick up her sleeve! Yes, she gave fans 15 songs more, making “Poets” a 31-song project.
