With this streaming record, Tay-Tay now has the top three most streamed albums in a single day, with “Midnights” (which previously held the record) at number two with 184.9 million streams and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” with 176 million streams at the third spot. Talk about outperforming yourself!

With “The Tortured Poets Department” T-Swift has broken her own record as the most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify, which she previously had when she released “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” In addition, all songs on the album now average 10 million streams on the platform, becoming the first project to do so.
