ATEEZ has successfully expanded their frontiers from the Kpop scene to the whole world. The boys became the first ever Kpop boy group to perform in Coachella, one of the major musical festivals in the United States. They even have started to be compared with BTS because of their rising popularity.
BTS is well known for having six No. 1 hits on Billboard Hot 100. The boys also have been largely attributed to opening the doors for new acts in the United States, and undoubtedly ATEEZ is one of them. Although ATEEZ hasn’t achieved a No. 1 spot in the list, they already dominated the Billboard 200 with their album, “The World EP.Fin : Will.”
The boys were interviewed by Billboard to talk about their experiences during the two Coachella weekends. The members expressed their gratitude and explained they gave their best to perform at the festival. Some K-Netizens commented that being the first Kpop boy group to perform in Coachella was something at the level of BTS.
Some other K-Netizens expressed there wasn’t any necessity to compare two successful groups who are triumphing in the United States. However, one thing is for sure, ATEEZ’s astonishing career might skyrocket to unprecedented levels, becoming even more popular than BTS someday.
