Prince Harry “burnt bridges” with the Royal Family by relinquishing his UK residency

Prince Harry surprisingly announced his US residency and relinquished his UK residency, all at the same time. The British media outlets are making thousands of speculations and comments about what’s going to happen with his relationship with the Royal Family, now that he declared his new country is the United States.

Now every time Prince Harry wants to visit the United Kingdom with his family, they won’t have a place to stay and must stay with their friends or in a hotel. On top of that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also lost their bid for taxpayer-funded UK security protection, meaning they are going to have to pay for their security while traveling across the United Kingdom.

Arthur Edwards, a photographer who has been working with the Royal Family since 1997 had a word to say from the unexpected news. He explained after Harry was kicked out from Frogmore Cottage, became the perfect excuse to leave the UK and make the United States his home.

“By signing this document saying he’s now a resident of the US, he’s probably burnt his bridges but I live in hope. I loved working with him. I thought he was someone really special. I’m quite sad about it. But it seems inevitable, his two kids are American, his wife is American, and he lives there, but it’s a sad occasion.”

This might become the ultimate step toward leaving behind all the drama between Prince Harry and the Royal Family. However, it could also mean the beginning of a rivalry because Harry is leaving behind his past life, despite King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis. Only time will tell how the general public is going to receive the newest changes in Prince’s life.
