On April 18th, Prince William finally returned to his royal duties. His first stop was a visit to the Surplus to Supper food distribution charity in Sunbury-on-Thames, where he promised to look after Kate Middleton during her cancer treatment.
A volunteer from the program, Rachel Candappa, went personally to deliver letters from the staff to Kate Middleton and King Charles III, and upon receiving them, William said, “Oh, some cards, you’re very kind. Thank you very much“. This was recorded in a video that was published on the social network X by Izzie Robinson of ITV.
According to The Telegraph, before ending the interaction with the future king, the volunteer Candappa mentioned to him to please take good care of the Duchess of Wales, to which Prince William put his hand on the girl’s shoulder and replied, “I will“, assuring her that he would not abandon his wife in this difficult moment.
William could notice the love and empathy that everyone feels for his wife, as in his second stop of the day he visited the Hanworth Centre Hub youth center, where he was welcomed with flowers for the princess along with their good wishes; in fact, Siobhan Donoghue, executive director of Perfectly Imperfect CIC, shared the experience.
Welcome back 😍
