SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu is just one of the hundreds of idols who are constantly harassed by obsessive fans, better known as sasaeng. Unfortunately, the idol has going through several uncomfortable situations to the point he had to ask them to stop.
On April 17 KST, Mingyu held two live broadcasts via Weverse. The idol usually shared times with his fans, better known as CARAT, while eating his meals. However, Mingyu’s second meal was completely interrupted by a sasaeng.
He started receiving phone calls from an obsessive fan throughout his Weverse Live. After the fourth call, the idol showed his discontent and he had even caused the Weverse live to freeze. Mingyu politely asked the fan to stop calling him.
Mingyu highlighted he loves to share his meals with CARAT. However, he turned his phone on airplane mode so that he wouldn’t be able to receive calls. He emphasizes sasaengs must be really bored to call him frequently. This is not the first time SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu has been exposed to this kind of toxic behavior.
