Okay, ARMY, it’s time to wave your lightsticks! Our beloved Suga of BTS has smashed the global box office with his concert film “SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-Day’ THE MOVIE.“ proving that, even during his military service, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
So, here are the numbers: the concert film generated a whopping $10.16 million in a limited release from April 10-14. What’s more, it dazzled fans across over 3,500 theaters in more than 100 territories, proving the global reach BTS and Suga have!
As if that wasn’t enough, fans decided to pay a little extra to get that IMAX for the film. These screenings pulled over $2 million, which accounted for 20% of the global earnings. The result? Well, Suga now has the highest-grossing concert film of 2024 in the United States and worldwide. In addition, it also marks a record for Kpop stars, as it’s the highest-grossing Kpop concert film as well.
And just like that Suga redefined what it means to be a Kpop juggernaut! Even during his absence, fans are still craving for his music and performance. Congrats to Suga, BTS, and ARMY for this achievement!
