Following his statements in his memoir ‘Spare‘, Prince Harry is facing criticism for stating that King Charles III was not ready for single parenthood: “He’d always given an air of not being quite ready for parenthood: the responsibilities, the patience, the time“.
The Duke of Sussex also added, “Even he, though a proud man, would have admitted as much. But single-parenthood? Pa was never made for that. To be fair, he tried“. This makes it clear that Harry noticed King Charles III’s efforts, but they were not enough for him.
In a recent interview for The Sun‘s Royal Exclusive program, royal reporter Charles Rae assures that the statements made by the youngest son of King Charles III are completely false and put in the wrong perspective, assuring that being a royal is a very demanding job.
Rae says that while on a ship, “Diana and Charles had just finished a job… Diana walks up the gangplank, Charles is very polite, he stands there and says ‘hello’ to the captain, first officer and cook“, an attitude that, according to him, is the right attitude for a royal.
He continued, “Diana ignores them all and runs (…) with her arms wide open and the boys rushed up to her—and that’s the picture that made the newspapers all over the world“, claiming that Charles’ perspective was underrated.
