LE SSERAFIM debuted at the Coachella stage last Saturday, setting their stage ablaze with their coordinated choreography and dazzling stage presence. But boom, plot twist! The group actually got tons of backlash due to their live singing and overall vocal performance. The result? member Sakura jumping in to share the version of events!

The Japanese idol took to Weverse to share her experience at Coachella and also talked about the criticism surrounding LE SSERAFIM’s vocal performance during the show. Here’s what she said:
“I seriously prepared for this stage, struggled through it, and enjoyed it. On the day of the show, I believe I was able to show everything. To some eyes, it might appear immature, but no one is perfect for everyone.”
Also, the idol seemingly addressed the comparisons that came through after their Coachella set, especially to BLACKPINK. Some users across platforms said BLACKPINK’s performance was much more polished in the vocal department and asked the festival to call them back. To this, Sakura seemingly responded:
“What you gain by comparing yourself with others, and what you gain by comparing yourself with your past self, are entirely different.”
What are your thoughts on this Kpopchella drama?
