Kit Connor and Rachel Zegler to make their stellar Broadway debut with an adaptation of “Romeo + Juliet”

Kit Connor and Rachel Zegler are set to be our new star-crossed lovers on the new “Romeo + Juliet” adaptation for Broadway. These two breakout stars, mainly known for their participation in “Heartstopper” and “West Side Story,” are set to give a new life to this timeless Shakespearean classic this fall in theater – and we’re here for it!

Don’t believe us? Well, the actors just took this news to Instagram, confirming their roles in the adaptation. Both Rachel Zegler and Kit Connor posted some snaps with a title that reads “Romeo + Juliet” along with a cute pic of Rachel laying on Kit’s chest, sending fans into their jealous vibes.

This upcoming Broadway masterpiece is directed by Sam Gold with music by power producer Jack Antonoff, known for working with names such as Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. This flawless crew is completed with movement by Sonya Tayeh, Tony Award winner for the choreography of “Moulin Rouge.”

This adaptation seems to be targeted at Gen-Z babies, using a slogan that says “The youth are f*cked.” More info including weather, dates, and the rest of the casting should be announced later, so keep your eyes out for that “Romeo + Juliet” magic.
