NewJeans is about to dominate the Kpop scene one more time with their anticipated comeback in May. Recently, the girls gave a sneak peek of their song, “Bubble Gum,” which was sponsored by a Japanese shampoo brand. Unfortunately, Hyein is not going to be there for this rollout.
On April 10, NewJeans’ music agency, ADOR, gave an update on Hyein in Weverse. They explained that the idol had been injured recently during practice. She suffered a microfracture in her foot and was advised to limit movements and rest until she fully recovered.
ADOR explained that Hyein is going to take a break from her activities due to her injury, and they are going to support the idol during her recovery to resume her activities in good health. NewJeans’ fans, better known as Bunnies, stated this is the best decision for the idol.
Bunnies also stated they are heartbroken because of Hyein’s injury, particularly because their comeback is around the corner. There are no predictions if Hyein will be able to participate during the rollout of the new era or if she is going to skip it this time.
