In recent reports, the renowned British media, the BBC, responded to criticism for ‘insensitive‘ coverage of Kate Middleton‘s cancer diagnosis after the Princess shared the worried new informative video regarding her health condition after abdominal surgery.
The British broadcaster shared that they “received complaints from people who felt our coverage of the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis was excessive and insensitive” after they filmed the shocking video published on March 22nd.
In a new statement, the BBC said their broadcast “reflected the significance of this story and the outpouring of support for the princess from around the globe. We explained to our audience what was known about Catherine’s condition” without any speculation on Kate Middleton health state.
In addition, the media assured that their “reporting made clear that this is a difficult time for the princess and the rest of the royal family; we have been mindful at all times to approach our coverage with sensitivity“, denying the public accusations.
Finally, the BBC said, “We also reported on Catherine’s request for privacy and detailed the statement from Kensington Palace regarding the princess having the right to privacy in relation to her medical issues” to confirm their clear intent to support the princess’s wishes.
