On March 22nd, Kensington Palace would have announced Kate Middleton‘s cancer after leaking her medical records, as, according to a source, an unauthorized person managed to obtain crucial information such as her worried diagnosis.
The source told the Daily Mail on April 1st that the palace wanted to go ahead and break the news on Kate’s behalf after learning that an unknown person knew her diagnosis, so there was a possibility of a leak.
For this reason, the palace would have taken the decision to publish the video where the Princess of Wales herself confesses her condition and assures that she is undergoing the first stage of chemotherapy as a preventive measure.
For its part, the source did not indicate how the leak would have been, if it came from the London Clinic, where Kate Middleton underwent abdominal surgery that led to the worrying diagnosis, or if it was of another origin.
The princess’ intention to keep everything private for a while was “to help her children understand and process the situation before the news became public“, sources close to the palace revealed to Page Six.
