OMEGA X found themselves in an unfortunate situation during their tour in the American leg back in 2022. Spire Entertainment’s CEO, Kang Seong Hee, was accused of mentally and physically abusing the members of the boy band after a video was posted online.
The situation raised concern among the K-Netizens and South Korean media outlets. Some people even started exposing Kang because he mistreated OMEGA X’s members. This includes forcing the members to perform even while being sick with COVID-19, forcing them to drink, and abusing them.
OMEGA X won the lawsuit against Spire Entertainment, concluding to suspend their contracts in January 2023. They were even allowed to sign under a new agency called IPQ after May 2023. However, Kang tried to change public opinion by releasing explosive comments about the boy band.
IPQ disclosed that Spire Entertainment and Youtuber, In Ji Woong were responsible for spreading many falsehoods and OMEGA X’s agency is taking legal action. They detailed there’s no time to waste to put to rest all the defamation against the boys, who have suffered enough because of Kang Seong Hee.
