A video titled ‘Reverse: Breaking The Silence‘ was recently released, where the Korean singer Kim Woojin talks about his controversial and sudden departure from Stray Kids on October 28th, 2019, explaining how he felt at that time and what led him to make such a drastic decision.

The idol revealed that because the controversy after sexual harassment complaint in which he had been involved at first seemed ‘nonsense‘, he decided to ignore it and not talk about it; however, that attitude worsened the situation, leading him to receive strong messages and hateful comments. By the time he decided to speak up, it was too late, and he was ignored.

This ‘peculiar case‘, as the vocalist called it, made him feel very frustrated and helpless, so he had to make serious decisions quickly. Kim Woojin preferred to take care of his problems before anything else, prioritizing his mental stability and the good of the group, so he left Stray Kids.

Even the idol apologized to those affected by the controversy, mainly to his former group mates, expressing, “I feel terribly sorry about it“. Woojin’s mature attitude of accepting that he put himself as a priority in that situation and revealing it publicly is a brave act that has been recognized by the fans.
