A few hours ago, on March 28th, King Charles III appeared with an ‘emaciated‘ appearance, giving a new message of ‘great sadness’ for the Easter celebrations in a new prerecorded video where he thanked those who “extend the hand of friendship“.
The monarch of the United Kingdom shared this video message where he praised the “Christian” virtues at the traditional Holy Thursday service where he gave to performers of “outstanding Christian service” a symbolic alms called “maundy money“.
Anyone going through chemo is perfectly entitled to look tired, drawn & ill 🙏
I was just shocked when I saw Charles this morning in that clip, so frail.
Thinking of everyone who is having that treatment this Easter.

Although the King did not addressed his state of health or Kate’s condition after their cancer diagnosis, a new photo of him was shared during his video, where he caused concern and comments on networks as he looked “more gaunt” than his previous images on the same desk.
King Charles III also confessed that it is a “great sadness” for him to be absent from the event, as this “maundy service has a very special place in my heart“, but the British people are aware of his diagnosis, and his medical recommendations indicate he has to be away from these activities.
The King says it is “a great sadness” that he cannot be at the Royal Maundy Service today. In an audio message, he renewed his pledge “not to be served, but to serve" and said “that I have always tried to do and continue to do with my whole heart”.
