King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis had a major impact on the Royal Followers after he postponed several public-facing meetings. The monarch of the United Kingdom had to step back a little to start early treatment for his unspecified form of cancer, which has made him feel “frustrated” because of how long his recuperation is taking.
Princess Anne’s son, Peter Philips, gave substantial updates on the King’s mental health during this couple of rough weeks. Although the king is in “good spirits” during his treatment, he feels frustrated that he cannot do everything he wants at the moment.
“I think ultimately, he’s hugely frustrated. But he is very pragmatic, he understands that there’s a period of time that he really needs to focus on himself.’ But at the same time he is always pushing his staff and everybody – his doctors and nurses – to be able to say “Actually can I do this, can I do that?”
The Royal Family hasn’t addressed Peter Philips’ comments over King Charles III. It would be prudent not to do it after Kate Middleton recently disclosed her cancer diagnosis to the Royal Family, and they should avoid controversy at all costs.
