Popular idol Lee Taeyong announced through a statement released by SM Entertainment this week that he will enlist in South Korea’s mandatory military service next April, detailing that he will serve in the navy area.
The 28-year-old idol will start his service on April 15 to be more specific in the Navy’s military brass band, they also revealed that they will not hold any kind of special event or farewell with fans as the boy cherishes his privacy.
“In retrospect, I attribute my growth and maturity to the support of you and my team members,” Taeyong said in a handwritten message shared by SM Entertainment via social media. The “TAP” singer opened his heart with a series of beautiful words addressed to his fans.
“Every moment was really meaningful and I enjoyed it to the fullest, I want to thank all my fans from the bottom of my heart for all the priceless moments that I have lived together with you,” the NCT member also said that this is only the end of a stage but not the end of his career.
After finishing his mandatory military service, he added that there are many things he wants to do together with his group mates, as a soloist and with his fans. The singer released his second solo extended play album last month, eight months after releasing his debut solo album.
