Netizens are outraged at top Hollywood actors for allegedly disrespecting Asian presenters at the 2024 Oscars

The 2024 Oscars were full of surprises and snubs so it is not surprising that it is trending on social media. However, the event is currently gaining a lot of attention online after netizens noticed that some of the top Hollywood actors allegedly disrespected the Asian presents during the prestigious ceremony.

The 96th Academy Awards took place on March 10 and it will for sure become one of the most remembered ceremonies of the last decade. However, the great performances and wholesome reactions from the winners are quickly fading into the background after netizens pointed out the “reckless” attitude towards some of the Asian presents such as Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh.

Ke Huy Quan, an Oscar-winning actor, couldn’t hide his joy after announcing that Robert Downey Jr won “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” for his work in “Oppenheimer”, his first Oscar ever. Despite the emotion of the room, Robert completely ignored Ke Hyu Quan on the stage.

On the other hand, Michelle Yeoh announced Emma Stone as the winner of “Best Actress” for “Poor Things”, her second win in the category. Unfortunately, Jennifer Lawerence was trying to get the Oscar to give it to Emma Stone rather than let Michelle do it. Despite Emma interacting with everyone on the stage, she took a long time to properly acknowledge Michelle Yeoh.
